About Kolé Swim

Hey girl, welcome to the site. You obviously want to know more if you’re reading this blog, so here ya go!

WASTE-FREE STRATEGY

Kolé focuses on a Waste-Free Strategy and making beautiful, comfortable swimwear that you can feel confident and sexy in. So, what do we mean by Waste-Free?

Our Waste-Free Strategy is geared around having no trash, or items that are considered wasteful (things that take decades to breakdown). This means absolutely no plastic tags, padding, additional marketing, etc. All items that you receive can either be recycled or composted, even the suits themselves are biodegradable (under landfill conditions of course).

You can learn more about our Waste-Free Strategy here

OUR FABRIC

We use a specialty fabric that has been created to biodegrade in 3-5 years once it reaches the landfill. We know this makes it “trash,” but not in the sense of what we consider. This fabric is also super soft, and extremely stretchy. We swear you’ll find each suit so comfortable, you won’t want to take it off. ☁️

OUR STYLES

We of course want you to feel confident and sexy in whichever suit you choose, which is why we have chosen these three designs to start. We’ll be expanding into different styles and coverages soon! A minimal coverage, cheeky, and moderate coverage option for the bottoms. Along with moderate support tops. We know everyone has different tastes in style and coverage, but we feel that you will be able to find at least one style to love in this first launch!

Learn more about our coverage and support options in our Style Guide.

OUR MANUFACTURER

On top of that, we make sure that our workers are receiving fair pay and hours, with excellent working conditions. If they’re not happy, we’re not happy. They are also huge advocates for sustainability and have recreated the production process to reuse water and reduce their CO2 gases (which are pretreated before released).

SUPPORT

To continue our sustainability efforts past the products themselves, we take $1 for every piece purchased (purchasing 1 top and 1 bottom = $2 donated) and support an organization called 4Ocean; a for-profit that cleans up our oceans, rivers, and coastlines 7 days a week, using their specialty equipment and incredible crews. For every $10 contributed 1 lb of waste is removed from one of the above locations.

We also are working on reducing our carbon footprint by only excepting online receipts, taking less trips to the post office, and providing an offset option for each order placed.
